Marine life play a major  role for sustainable economy.
Coastal area of Pakistan 990 k.m divided in two parts Sindh cost & Makran cost  namley as Arabian sea, this is important route of fishing industreis and  transportation. Main routes  of transportation in Pakisatn is  Karachi port and qasim port know a days  gawadar port is also constructing.
In this area of sea  present of green turtles, fishes, dolphins, Wales, corals, Ports, volcanoes, minerals.
Factors responsible for degradation of fisheries and marine life of Pakistan. Uses of harmful fishing gears are that serious threat for marine biodiversity, depletion of mangroves because mangroves  are important breeding and feeding for fish these  forest cover huge area at costal eight species of mangroves have been reported only four are surviving know a days. The reduction of fresh water flow into below kotrii barrage are impact on mangrow growth and productivity of fish and marine resources,  increasing of pollution is disposing of untreated domestic and industrial waste in sea. Marine ecosystem challenge  is that uses of non sustainable land on Karachi coastal area. Other marine life and eco system challenge in pakistan is discharge of hazardous waste in sea such as plastic waste, hospital waste oil spillage , heavy metal and glaciers melting are  main cause of flood, flood also life threating for flora and fauna of this area.
Sea view in karachi is continuously losing its marine life  because defence housing authority disposing waste into the sea, judicial commission on water and sanitation has warmed that it might ban all construction of DHA  because authority is not resolve issues of release un treated waste in Arabian sea through sea view, recently Pakistan declared astola & churna island are the protected marine area of the country.
All efforts are appreciable but are not enough to solve all challanges, so require attention from the government, the Private Sector and Common People.
