Newzealand Approach to combat plastic pollution

Oceanian countrty New Zealand will ban single-use plastic bags over the next year, according to the official announcement of government .

Retailers in the country will be given six months time-frame  to stop providing lightweight plastic bags, or face fines of up to NZ$100,000 (£51,000).

Adren said that Single-use plastic bags are being phased out so that government can better look after our environment and safeguard New Zealand¡¯s clean and  green reputation. New Zealand has become first country in the world to totally ban plastic bags .

The island country is very rich for natural resources and water resources .But recently, piles of plastic wastes are being gathered in marine bodies disturbing aquatic eco-system .
