PLASTIC POLLUTION: STUDENTS AWARENESS PROGRAM[1]

by Bal krishna Pandey | 11-11-2019 16:04

As a 23rd regional ambassador of Tunza Eco Generation, I conducted a school awareness campaign at Rampur Secondary School, Bharatpur-15 Rampur, Chitwan on 10th November 2019. Students studying at that government school were highly interested for the program when I talked about principle to offer the date.

This school awareness program is focused on PLASTIC POLLUTION. The main motto of this programme is to inspire and aware students about the plastic pollutions. There were more than 50 students along with some teachers. I made some slides for presentation and requested two friends from my university; Manisha Upadhaye and Susma Thapa. They also are member of this platform. We mainly focused about different forms of plastic that we are using daily and how we are making environment full of plastic trash.  After the semi formal program organized by the school, I got a chance to tell the students who we are? And why we were n front of them. Then Manisha helped me to present the PowerPoint slides along with experiences. The slides include plastic, its various forms, cause of plastic pollution, its negative effects on the environment and how to reduce plastic waste. I also taught them 5R rules: reduce, reuse, recycle, refuse and rethink.  We asked some of the question at the end of program. And also we gifted some of the gifts to the students who have answered well. Total 5 pens, 5 rulers and 5 notebooks were distributed to the students. And along with we ( tunza eco member) and students also cleared the school field where plastic were here and there.  Susma helped me to organize the program and make it success. At last we took a group photo with some students as many students were rushing to go home after presentation program.

I would like to thank all the teachers and students of the school, Manisha and Susma for their help despite they were busy with their exams. Also, Thanks Tunza for promotional goods.
