The Lovely Stripes

by Balkrishna Dahal | 06-11-2019 12:56

Tigers are one of the very rare animal on the planet. They have been crucial part of our ecosystem and they have very important position on our tradition, culture and mythology. They have been controlling population of herbivorous on forest preventing forests from wiping out, which is major source of many resources that we have been using to sustain our life. Almost 90% of total population of Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) found distributed in India and Nepal
We celebrated world tiger day to mark the importance of biodiversity and tiger in particular for our ecosystem. On world tiger day July 19, we painted ourselves as stripes of tiger and we roam across the streets so that people would recognize the importance of biodiversity and respond appropriately for their conservation.
The aim of this campaign is to increase awareness of the status of tigers and the global Tx2 goal to double wild tigers by the year 2022. Tx2 = double tigers, and to double the number of humans engaged in this effort, this campaign will link the ¡°T¡± for Tigers to Thumbs. The Tx2 effort with not one, but two thumbs up! Thumbs x 2 = Tx2! The theme of thumbs links perfectly to tigers, because each tiger¡¯s stripe pattern is as unique to them as finger prints are to us. That's why we pledge to support by posting our own unique ¡°thumbs up for tigers¡±
Killing tiger is GREED not the NEED!
