WASTE as renewable energy (in Taiwan)

by Elizaveta Zaretskaya | 28-10-2019 15:35

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa Zaretskaya. I would like to draw your attention to my report related to the topic of WASTE as renewable energy (in Taiwan).

Many types of renewable energy can only be created by large corporations. It requires a lot of human and material resources. But sometimes it does not require much cost. It can be created by an ordinary person. I mean waste. Wooden trash that can be found on the beach. Especially a lot of this trash after a storm or tsunami.

Recently, my family and I traveled to the Nanya coast in Taiwan. his is a very beautiful and picturesque place – many cliffs and eroded rocks. The resistance to erosion of different layers of rocks has formed a unique landscape. Besides, the Ninya Geographical Trail allows visitors to visit and take in the splendid scenery along the coast. We saw a lot of wooden debris on the shore when we traveled there.

When we were there, we met Mr. Wen, who was collecting this wooden trash. He told us that all the villagers collect this garbage and use it as energy instead of gas. They use this wooden waste when they cook at home or in a restaurant, such as frying seafood, as well as for other needs. I think this is a very good example of using waste as renewable energy.

 Thank you for your attention.
