Eco FACT 6

Trees also play a critical role in absorbing the greenhouse gases that fuel global warming. They give Oxygen to breathe out. Trees are so much important. Every one of us know how important trees are to us too. But Do we really contribute to its protection? Is the current question that receives negative answer from most of the people saying, ¡°No, I haven¡¯t.¡± Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife.

Although trees and forest are so much important to us, the deforestation is quite high the world.  The world¡¯s rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation. The Earth loses 18.7 million acres of forests per year, which is equal to 27 soccer fields every minute, according to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The scale of tree destruction, much of it done illegally, poses a grave threat to tackling both climate change and the massive global decline in wildlife.
