by Shreya Aryal | 13-10-2019 22:24

When I was going through google maps in my cell phone ,my eyes got stucked when I saw the tunnel lining around hattigauda kathmandu.I thought of bisiting there to see how people in kathmandu manage to do tunnel farming and what types of farming they have followed.
For this I along with my brother headed there with the help of my google app. When we reached there we saw ahuge tunnel lining inside which frwsh green and red tomatoes were hanging.Beside, there was a rice field shining like a gold.We went to the farmer and came ro knew that he was rearing 9 cow,600+ hens, growing vegetables under tunnel .He shared that he has got land on lease and had started that.He further answer that the dungs of cow and hen was best utilized by spreading it in tomato and other vegetables which ultimately produced higher number  and tasty vegetables.
I felt this tunnel farming  along with rearing few domestic animals is very good alternatives for various chemicals used for more production .The people  thus way can make best utilization of barren land and can aid in the economy of country creating the environment friendly and healthy business
