by Bal krishna Pandey | 06-10-2019 01:00

October 4, 2019 time: 7.00-8.00 am
Hello, It's me Bal krishna Pandey from Nepal. I am glad to share my programs among all the members of Tunza Eco Generation. On the occasion of World Animal Day, I have organised an interaction program among the people of my village from different profession. We discussed about Animal welfare and ethics at first session and air pollution and plastic pollution during the second session.

This program, which was one of my wishlist to make interaction program as an ambassador of TEG, I personally invited twenty people from different organizations from Sitabas village, which is located in the northeast of Devchuli municipality. I invited representative of five woman club, two child club, one youth club, three village sanitation club and seven ward representative of ward no 7. But about 13 people were presented.

Talking about the program, we made 3 session, first session includes blessing sharing program, second is about animal welfare and third about environment pollution. Program spokeperson was Mr. Krishna Prasad Pathak, local of the village. Mr.Bhup raj was presented as chief guest, he is chairman of the ward no 07, Devchuli municipality. Other representative of the organizations were welcomed as guests.

Again, I booked 10 minute for plastic pollution during festival season.
In the first session, we talked about Dashain festival, its importance and why should younger generation should follow  the culture and festivals.

In the second session, I took about 15 minutes to share my knowledge and experience about animal welfare and ethics. We talked about animal cruelty during festival season and how we can minimize it. Because Dashain is festival of delicious dishes also, meat and meat product are more demanded. So animal transportation and its slaughtering is also a burning issue in perspective of welfare. We also talked about stray dog and scientific management system.

After this, the representative had spoken about their experience, their lifestyle and situation of the environment then and now. They spoke about the excessive use of plastic and how it is degrading our nature. During the festival, people take blessings from their elders and enjoy being with family forgetting all the trouble and worries. With blessings, people exchange fruits and many gifts. Excessive use of plastics to carry even the tiny things too, it is neglected part of the festival. So I shared my knowledge about Reuse, Reduce and Recycle of non degredable products as much as possible.

At last, we all promised to spread this message about plastic pollution, environment degradation and animal welfae to the public of the related organizations.

Here are many photos taken during the program. I have captured some videos also. Here is the link of the youtube video which is about the program.
