Cinema and environmental problems. Swamp Thing.

by Elizaveta Zaretskaya | 07-10-2019 21:00

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa Zaretskaya. I would like to draw your attention to my report related to the topic Cinema and environmental problems. Swamp Thing.

Environmental issues have increasingly become a topic in film and television. Within the last twenty years, commercially successful films with an environmentalism theme have been released theatrically and made by the major Hollywood studios. The Annual Environmental Media Awards have been presented by the Environmental Media Association since 1991 to the best television episode or film with an environmental message.

Recently I watched one of such serials. This serial is called ¡°Swamp Thing¡±. I think this serial shows how nature takes revenge on humanity. It premiered on DC Universe on May 31 and ran until August 2, 2019. The main character, whose name is Abby Arcane, returns home to Marais, Louisiana to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, only to discover the dark, terrifying mysteries of the swamp. Swamp Thing series full of suspense, terror and even some gross-out practical effects. Abby discovered that the swamp held mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous.

The sixth part is called "The Price You Pay". It sais that if a man does not stop polluting the environment, it will make us all monsters. We will pay for dearly. We have time to stop and correct all the mistakes.

Thank you for your attention.
