Youth and the Environment

by Hnin Phyu Sin | 29-09-2019 07:13

I did consider what should I write under this topic. I really busied previous weeks and now this is the time to reflect on my experience of the previous weeks.
I joined to the youth program and I think expressing my experience would cover to this topic.

Firstly, consider on how the YOUTH POWER can impact on your community and how about your expectation on this so far.

As I mentioned in the previous posts, many youth organizations are appearing and unique organizations that are very well known by most people also encourage on this youth societies and their power. So that I got a chance to study the natural resource management in the powerful country called United States of America. As the cities are modernized, their management on the natural resources are based on the modern technological thing. I went to the Yosemite National Park, I found how they manage human and the nature in the harmonious way. Of course, there are many rules and regulations for the visitor safety and nature's biodiversities. Although their management is really systematic and they covered all the things in a harmonious way.

We, humans are sometimes destructors and sometimes protectors of the earth. Therefore, if we do not manage the earth in a careful consideration, the nature will be destroyed gradually. If we consider youth as a contributor and a leader of our nature, this meaning will carry for all the youth and it will affect our whole society definitely.

Many youths in these days are growing up in knowledge in line with advanced technology. They can find more ways to develop in the interested sectors and it carries on more ways to sustainable development. In the program, I have been with many youths from southeast Asian nations and they all came from different environment backgrounds. I am very glad to share with them about our countries and I became to know what is their nations¡¯ environmental challenges and how they are combating on it. I also got the idea from them on how to combat the same problems in my nation.

We are going to the more modernized world and I believe youth sector is more and more important to encourage now. Nevertheless, I would like to say youth power is stronger than you think and please do best for your community and world.
