Maybe you heard about that poor turtle that some people showed it in a video while they were trying to get a plastic straw out of her nose and that poor was bleeding but finally they managed to get rid of the the straw out of her nose. so annoying right?

We have a frightening number of creatures that are dying every year because of plastic, we have to stop this bad behavior as these souls should have the right to live and we prevent them from life.

Our environment like our mother and we harm it by using plastic. she sends many signs to us to stop using plastic. These signs like the death of many creatures especially who live in the sea as the plastic trash that thrown away in the oceans.

And according to the scientific researches if all types of plastics around you are non reusable you should start refusing to use plastic and I prefer not to use it at all as the plastic is the only material that doesn't decompose. So may some people ask what I should do and how I wouldn't use plastic there aren't any alternatives but no if you wish to save and protect your planet you'll do your best as you can to find alternatives .

Let me give you solutions and advices from A to Z.

Alternative to plastic bags.

🔸First the most commonly used materials are the plastic shopping bags. you can replace it for cloth bags and there're many YouTube videos on how to make your DIY package bag from available things even from an old t-shirt that you no longer need.

 you can bring the DIY bag with you to the supermarket, you know I do this by asking the cashier employee for no plastic bags and I package my stuff in my DIY bag, this may seem surprise for the employees especially when they ask me why no bags and I say to save the environment.

‏in the bakery you bring your DIY non plastic bag and put the bread, Pastries and croissants on it.

🔸Second: the stuff you will bought from the grocery for example like meat, cheese, pasta and milk..etc will be put in plastic stuff you can avoid that by bring glass containers and you will ask the seller in the meat or cheese or whatever section to put your meat in the container and you can do like this with the pasta also you may bring jars to but some kind of pasta like spaghetti, milk you can also bring your own bottle and there are some companies here in Egypt that give you the bottle in the first time you buy from it and at the next times you reuse this bottle.

you apply this to all kind of things you buy like bread, veggies and fruits. you buy bread and put it in your cloth bag. and you can find many tutorials on YouTube about how to make simple and usable bag from different materials, the options are endless.  you are able to make your bag based on your budget and preferences. 

you know that's a big for the company and the environment for the company as they won't need to search about the material to make every single bottle for every dingle customer and the result they save their budget for another purpose like marketing..etc, for the environment as the process of making a bottle take a lot of materials and water so we save these things for the important processes.

🔸Now we will go through a deep point which is our skin care and beauty products as it may seem a big problem but why?

As an enormous number of these products come with a plastic packaging but guess what there are many companies that package their product in glass containers like the body shop products and also they have a non tested animal and non plastic makeup products so two birds hit with a stone, also for this problem there's another solution which is customizing your own skin care routine as there are many recipes to make lotion, facial washing..etc from natural substances.

🔸If we go in a coffee shop like Starbucks or any coffeehouse we can give them our mug or our cup to pour the coffee on it, someone can say come on man you ask me to carry my mug with me? Yes why not? 

If you want to do something to your planet you should stop shying and try to do your best, maybe they will be surprised by your action in the coffeehouse but remember their surprise will last for many seconds and it will fade out.  

At the next time you come you, will be known by this beautiful action and maybe the company change their policy for people like you so you’re considered as the first one who set the fire to this great change.

There are many examples throughout the history many companies changed a particular practice or behavior by effect of single person. 

And who knows you would inspire someone to do like you and maybe there's someone who want to stop using plastic wait for another person to be courage. so be the initiative.
