The pathetic condition in 'haat bajar'

by Meena Pandey | 22-09-2019 03:01

Today I visited to haat bajar in order to buy some daily stuffs along with some fruits. Haat bajar is usually held in Nepal-India border on Wednesday and Saturday called dandey bajar in the locality where I migrated for study.I dwell in the hostel which takes just about 15 min from the dandey bajar on foot. The environment their seems to be so pathetic  that something strange violent wind moved into my mind ruthlessly. This might be more than 10 visit to the dandey bajar, but the way today I feel make me really desperate .On the way to dandey bajar it was free of pollutants. However, as it touches to the border of India there was massive amount of garbage and litters which made me to close my nose even I was there with medical mask.
The much wide the eyes can view there was wastages. As soon as I moved towards bajar ,there was full of smoke ejecting from sugarcane thresher. The use of plastic was beyond maximum. Even the plastic which covered some items was thrown as soon as the material was sold.  There was not provision of any dustbins. Food sanitation was poor. The small organized fish market was not properly managed. It had seemed housefly selling rather than fish selling .Even the water source was full of dumpings there. The rotten vegetables and fruits were thrown haphazardly instead of making them compost and other organic manures.
Personally ,I even suggested some vendors there.I think it is not enough in that busy market. Besides the work of eco-warriors like us,I hope the concerned authority of both countries Nepal and India with make apt attempts immediately.
