Youth and the Environment

I am very pleased to be a human on this earth. Love the earth so much, the feeling of breathing the fresh air and seeing the blue sky is something that we can feel only on this earth. The earth is amazing as it forms with different kinds of natural beauty. That¡¯s why I really love travelling and seeing new things. Travelling makes me more to love the earth. As much as I love the earth I want to protect it in all the ways I can do.

When I come to think what of my daily habits are causing damage to the environment and I notice of using plastic daily. I read articles how plastic are bad for both lives on land and under water. As a first step of a challenge to myself, I bought a steel water bottle which can be reused for several months. Whenever I go to university or travelling, I take along it. Then, I refused to use plastic straws and bags whenever I go to a café or store. Instead of it, I bought a personal steel straw and bamboo straws. I also now using a personal fork and spoon. So that, I do not have to use one-time spoon or chopstick. After sometimes, my friends notice me of using reuseable stuffs and got awareness of using plastic. Not only my friends, also my family starts refusing single use plastic. I believe there are many youths like me around the world who are fighting for their future environment.

Youths are the only hope for our unhealthy earth. It is good to see that youths know they are the hope and making events like Fridays for future on every Friday on every weeks around the world. Moreover, on even Tunza Eco-generation platform, I can see how youths are making changes to their regions and learning new things for the environment. I am really honored to be apart of it and hopefully this could be last till our mother earth is in good situation by the power of youths.
