Youth have a role to play in environmental and conservation efforts that will aid every mankind in the earth. A little change in their lifestyle make a significant impact to the surroundings they live. We can employ youth to train the children and aware the adults. Engagement of youth in eco friendly activities brings a positive influence among parents, relatives, community people, society and into the nation. Youth are the strong support to the nation for shaping the future of country by their ideas and courageous acts. Youth, these days are being more clinged on the gadgets and indoor activities rather than outdoor activities which isn¡¯t a good sign. Youth must have a vision for the well being of the countrymen. Environment conservation is a wide subject matter. We must make plans and policies thinking locally and implementing this thinking into the more wider and global level. Environmental problems, whether it may be of my area or yours; wherever it is, is directly affecting the way of life; the bulging example is of Amazon fire; it not only affects the people of the world just today but also countless future generation if it¡¯s not controlled and Amazon rain forest isn¡¯t preserved. Environment preservation starts first of all from a single individual himself/ herself. It¡¯s not hard but you must implement. By applying the greening knowledge at home and schools, we can help to market city, a greener city. Discarding computers, electrical appliances and rechargeable batteries can seriously harm the environment. Youth role is to implement recycling programs for used computers and electrical appliances. You can arrange for collection services with them. There are also many collection points for recycling of rechargeable batteries, so do not simply throw them away. Youth have a role to play in environmental and conservation efforts that will improve livelihoods. Green Tips: Going green with recycling and reusing: Donate your clothes to the recycle shop. Make the habit of 4Rs rule- Reduce, Reuse, recycle and repurpose. Going green in home: Switching off the lights and fan after its use. Turning off tap after its use. Use only proper amount of water. Make optimum utilization of every goods. Apply alternative use of goods theory in every goods available. Spend your leisure time in green activities. Going green with transport: Walking short distance on foot or by bicycles. Using public means of transportation for long tour and using electric vehicles as far as possible. You must have thought these are the things possible just only in words not its possible by action as well. Lots of epidemic and endemic diseases has been sprouted these days incase of Nepal. Out of them Dengue fever is one of them. Taking this into consideration, students of Institute of agriculture and animal science organized a cleanliness campaign around the periphery of university in collaboration with local people, youth club along with women group. Dengue fever which was just confined in a region of very hot climate has now spread wildly in a region which wasn't thought to be prone of Dengue due to increasing temperature in those region as well. The programme accompanied a cleanliness programme along with an awareness. Various information on dengue fever like it's causative agent, modes of transmission, signs and symptoms, preventive measures along with treatment measures was recorded and was played repeatedly as a mean of spreading awareness. Similarly, the programme started at early 7:15 am which ended up at 10:00am. In nutshell, the programme was found to be very fruitful and in the end, it's not only a programme of one day or few hours it was later called as a campaign as per demand which is going to be followed up in upcoming days as well. That's why, if youth want even a small step for the good of environment; a programme can become a campaign with wide support.
