[Free Report] Air Pollution Kills Even When It Meets Air Quality Standards

by Yvonne Wabai | 04-09-2019 04:05

A stunning revelation in the New England Journal of Medicine shows that air pollution kills even when it meets air quality standards. Data from 1986 to 2015 showed an increase in the number of deaths linked to air pollution - the deaths were from heart and breathing problems.

The study was an analysis of 652 cities in 24 countries and regions cross 6 continents for a period of 30 years. It is the largest study of its kind so far.

Air pollution has already previously been linked to increasing cases of and exacerbating already existing cases of respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD.

The question now is: have we set our air quality standards too low? If so, why, and how can that be changed? How do we stop air pollution?
