[THEMATIC] Short Review about Tunza Eco-Generation Ambassadors Program

by Ashley Kho | 31-08-2019 18:48

Before I became an ambassador for Tunza, I have always known that I wanted to speak for the environment. Protecting and conserving the environment has always been one of my passions as well as writing. However, there was no platform for me to combine both my love for writing and the environment before I stumbled upon Tunza.

Earlier this year, I was browsing the Internet when I stumbled upon the call for applications for Tunza ambassadors. It immediately caught my interest as it is a way for me to combine both my passions and lend a voice to the environment. I applied and was beyond excited to receive the news that I was chosen as an ambassador.

During my term as an Eco-Generation ambassador, I have shared many ideas with friends from all over the world and learnt many things in return from them. I discovered many interesting environmental facts and shared many ideas for environmental programs from the other ambassadors. By sharing ideas and connecting with other ambassadors, it has prompted me to have a strategic action plan to combat climate change through mobilisation of citizens.

Tunza Eco-Generation is not just a platform to enhance your writing skills. More than that, it allows you to be independent and proactive in saving the environment. The topics assigned to us every month allowed us to think on a much deeper level as to what we can do for the environment. I am blessed to have the opportunity to speak about the environment and plastic pollution twice during my term. As I will be continuing my journey as an ambassador in the next term, I hope to inspire more youths to join Tunza as well as be more proactive in saving the environment. I hope to cover more thought-provoking environmental topics and inspire healthy discussion among youths.

Thank you Tunza for this opportunity and see you again in the next term!
