Banteng, Babi Rusa, Anoa, and Sumatran Tiger

Action Indonesia Day in Ragunan zoo, held on 18 August 2019, aims to socialize four animals from Indonesia that is in the Global Management Species Program (GMSP). The program itself has nine animals they have decided to watch, in hopes that their population will increase. Where Banteng, Babi Rusa, Anoa, and Sumatran Tiger in the GMSP are from Indonesia.

50 participants were selected for Action Indonesia Day. The participants received knowledge concerning these four animals. They also had a chance to see these animals on the spot with explanation concerning their life, such as life span, pregnancy period, what they eat, threats to their life and so on. To end the event, the participants got involved in a group coloring competition. My team won first place, and we had received a journal.

The event was great. I got to learn new things, and see the animals for myself. It was a day of fun that was knowledgeable.
