Climate change is afflicting human life and the rest of the biota significantly.The phenomenon is more rapid than ever in the 21st century. The planet¡¯s average surface temperature has risen to almost 1degree Celsius. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has pointed out that a temperature rise of 2.5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit shall be the reality in the next century. A large chunk of what has been causing an increase in the global climate is the detrimental release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The effects of climate change have been precarious on the earth organisms and rapid action is the need of the hour. What can be done to attenuate these effects? As the living being having the largest population on the earth, humans are responsible for mitigating climate change. Greta Thunberg, a young Swedish activist, has been an inspiration of how you are not a single drop in the ocean, instead you are the entire ocean. A small initiative taken by her at school level held the power of spreading its horizon to the United Nations COP24 in 2018. Thus, no matter how insignificant you might think your move is, if the intentions are good, you can move mountains, which is what climate change needs from every single person on the earth.
