Development with Care: Sustainable Development Imagine a situation- You are building a road, a big one. Obviously, there would be number of trees and wildlife related with the site. Now it would be your decision to carry on the project or search for a better alternative where there would be minimum harm to the nature. If you are thinking about the second option congratulations You just initiated a step closer to Sustainable Development. Sustainable development is the approach of better organizing out development works that meet our development goals in such a way that there is minimum impact on natural systems to provide the natural resources and ecosystem services upon which the economy and society depend. This will create a condition in our society where natural resources will be continued to use up without undermining the integrity and stability of the natural system. A state of equilibrium will exist. At the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in 2015, world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at ending poverty, fighting inequality and injustice and tackling climate change by 2030. These 17 goals, listed below, are all accompanied by specific targets – 169 in total.
