 Hi everyone! My name is Lisa Zaretskaya. I would like to draw your attention to my report related to the topic of Sustainable Development and school education. In this report, I want to talk about the last event in our school. This event was dedicated to environmental issues and sustainable development. Our class held it almost at the end of June. We discussed environmental issues, sustainable development and school education, and what role can teen diplomats play in promoting of all these matters. Then we talked about three current events in the world that Taiwanese should play close attention to and explain why there are important t us. One group of our classmates commented on an international issue that Taiwanese people should be more concerned about (such as human rights, climate change, energy, food security, terrorism). People in Taiwan should take these issues more seriously. We also talked about the opportunities and challenges of globalization for the world and Taiwan, and how can Taiwanese youth stay competitive amid this wave of globalization. And as a global citizen, how important do we think international etiquette is? The last question we discussed was – what role can new media play in our efforts to promote environmental protection. Our last event was interesting, useful, fun. I hope that next school year we will continue our work to save the planet. Thank you for your attention. |
