With regard to the First Middle East Bio Diesel Initiative Since the start of its biological diesel project in July 2011, the UAE of McDonald has considerably decreased its carbon footprint. The logistics fleet is now running on petrol from the vegetable oil it uses. The biodiesel is transformed by the 'Neutral Fuels' based in Dubai, a UAE-backed venture using environmentally friendly technology.

‘Neutral Fuels ‘operates the Middle East’s first commercial biodiesel plant. It is composed of the green plans of Dubai. All of McDonald's UAE vegetable cooking oil gathered and recycled into biodiesel every month used to run its chain’s fleet of trucks.
