![]() ![]() In today¡¯s world, technology plays a pivotal role. The best and easiest way to inform the importance of sustainable development to our community is through education. We as global citizens needs to educate ourselves and look out for various alternatives but in the same way, they must be sustainable too. I try to find out the various sustainable ways that I can use in my day to day and teach my friends too. Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs as well. My innovations Marine Robot Cleaner and Agribot were developed with the main aim of promoting Sustainable Development Goals 14 and 2 respectively. Marine Robot Cleaner- M Bot Cleaner: The purpose of M Bot (Marine Robot Cleaner) is to preserve our marine environment. M Bot Cleaner is a prototype robot that can remove floating wastes from water surfaces. It is shaped like a boat and can be operated remotely with a radio control. It runs with 2 motors that helps the boat to move in the water. Popsicle sticks are attached to a wheel and then to the third motor to push the waste from the water bodies into the storage basket. This prototype can also be fitted with a rotatable wireless camera, which can help the controller of the boat to navigate the machine from a long distance away. Solar panels can also be used instead of batteries. Although this project could plausibly restore the purity of water, it nevertheless could be the initial step taken forward towards creating a better ecosystem. It was visually apparent that the Popsicle stick pushes the wastes from the water bodies into the collecting basket. Features: Remote controlled, easy to operate and programme, environmental friendly, better efficiency Agribot: • The purpose of AgriBot (Agriculture Robot) is to help the farmers in hot countries like UAE for agricultural purposes. • It is designed to minimize the labor of farmers in addition to increasing the speed and accuracy of the work. • It performs the elementary functions involved in farming i.e. ploughing the field, sowing of seeds and covering the seeds with soil. • The robot is autonomous and provides the facility for optional switching of the ploughing system when required. |
