Greta Thunberg started something big for Western children with Fridays for Future. If you have not yet heard of it, Fridays for Future is a movement where children do not go to school on Friday and instead protest outside government offices and such for climate action. The movement is very big in Western countries and is getting a lot of coverage, which is good. Many Western governments have now started talking about climate action because of Fridays for Future. However, when talking about climate protests, we often frame the discussion around Westerners. For non-Westerners, what climate movements are there in your country? |
