![]() I am fond of reading novels and books. After I joined university which is far away from my hometown, it was difficult for me to carry books wherever I travel. Suddenly, I got to know about Amazon kindle app that is an electronic reading tablet that enables you to purchase and download books, magazines and newspapers directly to your device. You can use it for other entertainment purposes as well. Well, it has been just a few days I have downloaded it. And the good thing is that, the first book I downloaded is on Environment. It's name is, "Our Earth, Our Species, Our Selves." By name, this book attracted me to go through it. It's written by Ellen Moyer. It's based on how to thrive while creating a sustainable world. It's thought provoking and timely relevant book. It discusses about environmental crises-most notably, climate change-call on us to upgrade to a new way of life that will sustain us and our world far into the future. We already have the capacities and tools to create a health and environmental revolution. - Specific actions you and I can take now that will help us and our world prosper - not just in the future, but immediately. - How the strategies shared in this book can uplift our society and democracy. - Why creating a high-tech and high-nature way of life could spark an economic boom. Our scarcest resource is time. With determination and action, we can implement better solutions rather than observing those harmful effects like a blind. We are running out of time, but it's not still too late for us to turn the situation around. Nature tends to self heal once damaging activity ceases, just a a person's body tends to heal when he or she quits smoking cigarettes. Certainly, each and every words in this book provided me with goosebumps. This book is worth reading with lots of solutions. One adorable step of the author is that she is taking, is donating a portion of the proceeds from this book to the Center for Biological Diversity and the Venter for Food Safety. I strongly recommend environmentalist to go through this book. I am highly inspired. Thank you so much Tunza Eco Generation for the task of writing book review. If it hadn't been the task, I think I wouldn't have gone through this highly appreciable book. My first book in Amazon kindle. Yay! |
