Everyday is Environment Day for environment enthusiast but World Environment Day has a long history behind itself too.

World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment which began in 1974 and the event has grown to become a global platform. It takes place every 5^th of June is the biggest annual event for positive environmental action.

World Environment Day 2018 was being hosted by india on the theme “Beat Plastic Polution” with slogan, “If you can’t reuse it, refuse it.” This year World Environment Day  is being hosted by China, with a theme of "Air Pollution" with slogan, “We can't stop breathing, but we can do something about the quality of air that we breathe.”

Celebrating World Environment Day 2019 As Regional Ambassador to Asia for Tunza EcoGeneration, I organized World Environment Day Creative Challenge which was a online campaign to promote Tunza EcoGeneration and involve youth in environmental activism along with awaring people on the ways to celebrate world environment day and ways to beat air pollution. Many enthusiastic youths participated in the event. I will be sharing the details about the program in my next report.

I also planted trees in my nearby surrounding. Planting trees are the best way to beat air pollution. As my home is near highway, planting trees beside the highway plays much more important role. I also celebrated the day with the awareness campaign on beating air pollution.

We must create the change we want to see. Lets be a part of solution not the Part of Pollution !!!!
