BIODIVERSITY means richness of flora andd fauna or richness of life on the planet. It is abundance of life around us.Biodiversity provides us food we eat,clothes we wear and shelter we are living on. Our environment is the home to these biodiversity around us so its our foremost duty to protect them all.But today human greed has destroyed the ecosystem and degraded the bio diversity so badly.In few seconds as you finish ready this a species may be extinct.In the past years coral reef donot have the diversity that it used to have 10 years ago.several species have already been lost.The major cause of loss of bio diversity is the habitat destruction.They thrive well in their natural habitat than any man made system. To aware people and help them protect bio diversity of a particular place we need to aware them about the importance of a biodiversity of that place.for example is a place there is fish so people visit there but if the speccies of fish is lost no people would love to visit there.So if we can tell people this we can definately protect the species of that area. These days antibiotics have been used for cattle disesas3 and when very cattle is dead caracass is thrown in open space which in turn is eaten by vulture so the residue of antibiotic affects the vulture leading to death.So this has threatend the no of vulutres in our ecosystem.These are just repensentative example there are several species that are struggling against the survival. Nepal is blessed with unique of its flora nad fauna and its biodiversity is its greatest strength.We have huge no of microclimate from the high mountains to the plain land of terain which is home to thousands of biodiversity.Life is meaningful due to the exixting diversity around us. There is always check and balance between benificial and harmful species around.For example fall army worm is causing a great loss during this decade and we are still in search of its natural remedy.The natural enemy if multiplied articificially can be employed to control the pest in natural way!So nature had its own freinds and enemies the human intervention had only cause trouble in the environment and caused the extinction of biodiversity that was once charm of the place.Biodiversity fair or krishi mela can be a good way to find out the agricultural diversity of a particular palce.crop plant that was once thought extinct may be discoverd by this practice. There are CITES,MAPS,MAPDON for listing out the diversity of flora and fauna and keeping their records. Green cheers! lets protect ourBiodiversity!!
