Tulsi

 Scientific name: Ocimum tenuiflorum

 

 Tulsi famous as holy basil is famous for its healing and medicinal properties. It’s leaves, pollen, roots and stem has high medicinal value. Its leaves are helpful in sharpening memory and in curing fever and common cold. They also act as an anti stress agent and also help in purifying blood. It promotes Healthy Heart. Holy basil contains vitamin C and antioxidants such as eugenol, which protects the heart from the harmful effects of free radicals.

 * Relieves Headaches. 

 * Fights Acne. 

 * Relives Fever. 

 * Eye Health. 

 * Oral Health.

  Tulsi is not hard to grow. It grows very easily. You can eat 2-3 leaves daily by boiling it in water. It’s said that tulsi leaves should be swallowed than chewed. In Hindu mythology, people who are at last phase of their life, they are brought near the tulsi plants and are provided with water mixed with tulsi leaves. It must be because of its holiness behaviour and scientifically it must be because it’s very good source of oxygen and other several reasons.
