UAE Vision 2021 was launched with the sole purpose and aim of making UAE one amongst the best nations in the whole world. Many government and private entities show their support by joining hand in hand with the great leaders of this nation in order to achieve the vision. It is trying to ensure sustainable development and at the same time trying to preserve the environment. It is our prime responsibility to try and balance the social and economic development of our nation. There are a few points that needs to be focused such as to increase the amount of clean energy, develop and implement more green growth plans and strategies, improve the air quality, preserve the water resources.

Apart from this, the nation is improving the infrastructure in telecommunications, road, electricity, ports, airport, and providing housing facilities for eligible locals (UAE nationals) within a stipulated time so that they can reach the top most and best position in the world.

Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) is an organization that works to protect the environment. It conducts various programmes through education and community involvement to foster the need to follow sustainable practices.

One of the programmed conducted every year is the EEG Drawing competition. It focuses on different themes for different age categories of students. This year they had taken up the most important part of the agenda as their theme for the drawing competition.

The topics were Kindness to Animals, Green UAE and One World, One Family. As my topic was Green UAE, I had tried to express my view to envision a UAE that will use sustainable transport, reduce the carbon footprints and built a sustainable environment for one and all.

I am delighted to share with you all that I won the First Merit for my drawing in the competition.
