I would like to share with you all that Action For Nature has selected me as ECO HERO OF THE WEEK.

Back in 2015, I was awarded INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ECO HERO award by Action For Nature.  I was the onlt one from our region and one of the 10 globally. Below is the link:

ECO HERO AWARDS by Action For Nature

Their International Young Eco-Hero Awards program recognizes and encourages children and teens who have completed a project to “foster respect and affection for nature through personal action.”

Every year since 2003, Action For Nature (AFN), a U.S.-based non-profit, has sought to recognize and reward young people ages 8-16 who are taking action to solve the world’s tough environmental problems. Youth from countries around the globe send in their stories and explain their work, then a panel of judges including experts in environmental science, biology and education determines the year’s top achievers. Each Eco-Hero Award winner receives a cash prize, a certificate of achievement and other benefits.

Personal action is a powerful weapon in the battle to keep our planet alive and well. When taken, it can slow down a river’s pollution; help preserve the ancient growth of trees threatened by cutters; and increase the survival of songbirds. This program is very efferive in recognising and identifying young eco heroes who are taking personal action towards environment protection.
