The UAE will be opening its grand pavilion at the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition on 29 April 19 and will run until 7 October. The 162-day expo is expected to attract 16 million visitors with a huge collection of plants and flowers. The pavilion will highlight the legacy of the Father of the Nation the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his vision in greening the deserts. The Expo will be held under the theme ¡°Live Green, Live Better. The pavilion covers 1,850 square metres, nearly 1500 square metres of this will be greenery highlighting the green development and horticulture demonstrating how UAE advanced civilization with environmental green upgradation in the desert. It showcases the country's natural landscape, palm trees, traditional agriculture, and agricultural oases as well as how technology was and continues to be used in the transformation. Visitors to the pavilion will be able to see a short documentary spreading awareness on UAE¡¯s initiatives, past achievements and innovations in agriculture. Visitors will go through a Park section and a Cultural Section. Before exiting, the visitors will also be able to explore the UAE's preparations to host Expo 2020 Dubai. There has been a very strong bilateral relation with China, which is one of the UAE's largest trading partner with trade valued at $53 billion during 2018. A new project "Vegetable "Basket" will be launched soon at a cost of $1 billion for processing and packaging agricultural products. |
