![]() Environment Pollution Environmental pollution is defined as ¡°the contamination of the physical and biological components of the earth/atmosphere system to such an extent that normal environmental processes are adversely affected.¡± Pollutants can be naturally occurring substances or energies, but they are considered contaminants when in excess of natural levels. Any use of natural resources at a rate higher than nature¡¯s capacity to restore itself can result in pollution of air, water, and land. Air Pollution Air pollution can be defined as the presence of toxic chemicals or compounds (including those of biological origin) in the air, at levels that pose a health risk. In an even broader sense, air pollution means the presence of chemicals or compounds in the air which are usually not present and which lower the quality of the air or cause detrimental changes to the quality of life (such as the damaging of the ozone layer or causing global warming). Causes of Air Pollution Air Pollution is a huge problem which is caused by various human activities. Toxic chemicals, gases due to industrial activities, methane from livestock, vehicles, electronic equipment are primarily the source of air pollution. ![]() Types of Air Pollution ![]() ![]() Solution of air Pollution Every Individual must adopt eco friendly ways in daily life to minimize air pollution. ![]() ![]() |
