Earth Hour 2019

by Kushal Naharki | 01-04-2019 03:54

Earth Hour is a worldwide movement encouraging people to turn off electric lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 pm on a specific day towards the end of March, as a symbol of commitment to the planet. This was celebrated on 30th March this year and would like to thank all the Eco Generation family for joining the event.

Tunza EcoGeneration family has been an inspiring family and I feel proud to be a part of it. Last year, we, Regional Ambassadors from Nepal joining the Earth Hour Event, posted the photo of switching the lights off through our social media and Facebook page of  Tunza Eco Network, Nepal (https://www.facebook.com/Tunzaeconetwork/ ).Earth Hour 2018 Photo This year, I had my board exam going on but how could I be away from celebrating such a huge event. I had the exam of Communication next day. So, We turned off the light and discussed on how communication can impact on the environmental communication. If we can effectively communicate with the people and share our view, we can create more awareness. We must be more concise and aware about our skills, ability and the message we are delivering during our environmental campaigns too.

As Regional Ambassador to Tunza EcoGeneration, I have been conducting School Campaigns to the students of school about model united nation and discussion on environmental issue during the discussion session of model united nation. I will soon post a report on my school campaign that I have conducted and I also shared my experiences and campaigns with my friends and encouraged and motivated them to be together for environmental awareness campaign.
