![]() ![]() ![]() On the morning of 23rd March, my junior sister form my college shard me her experience. She said,¡± Today morning, my mother called me and told me, "kaafal pakyo, khana aaija (Berry has ripen. Come home to eat)". I was a bit shocked. I asked how the berries ripen so fast. I mean, they should ripe in the mid of April or late April. I said to my mother, "Isn't it faster?". My mother replied nothing. Then, I ended the call. However, I asked my mom, we all know that it happened due to climate change.¡± We are witnessing the severe impacts of climate change throughout the world. Increasing global temperature, melting of glaciers and mountain snow packs, the Polar ice cap, jutting off of the great ice shield of Antarctica, resulting in rising sea levels are the major seen effects of climate change. America is suffering through discomfort due to freezing temperatures and Australia is suffering through freakish scorching heat waves. Don't feel relieved. Its not America, Australia or Antarctica. You are also going to face the effects of climate change. No magic is going to save us from the discomfort to come in future days until we take an action by our self. World Meteorological Day takes place every year on 23 March and commemorates the coming into force on 23 March 1950 of the Convention establishing the World Meteorological Organization. It showcases the essential contribution of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services to the safety and wellbeing of society and is celebrated with activities around the world.
