[July Free Report] Carbon reduction for bees

by Jayden Kim | 01-08-2023 13:32

In recent years, carbon dioxide emissions have led to animals that seem unimportant and minuscule, but detrimental in its effects: Bees. Bees across the world have seen an astronomical decline in the past couple of years. This past year, 50 percent of bees in the US have died due to changes in climate and other environmental factors due human activities. But why are bees so important? Bees provide us with 1/3 of our produce. Almonds, avocados, honey, etc. Imagine not having your avocados, honey, almonds for your breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner.

Especially in the US, the decline of bees have been significant. In California, the largest producer of bees products, have seen astronomical declines in both bee population and economic gains.

Bees are very sensitive to changes in climate. Bees have optimal temperature ranges, and if increased, can lead to overheating and eventually honey comb destruction as well. Carbon dioxide has been proven to also hinder bee communication and mobility, leading to trouble in finding their home and communicating with other bees, acting like a fog in their eyes.

The end is near if we as humans continually produce more and more carbon dioxide. Bees have already lost so much of its habitat and its population. We must as a whole must stop carbon production or atleast reduce co2 production.
