![]() Hi everyone! My name is Lisa Zaretskaya. I would like to draw your attention to my 2nd report related to MINIWIZ AND THE TRASH LAB. In the end of March we continued our ecological marathon with students from Tamkang University. The 3nd lectures were devoted to MINIWIZ COMPANY AND THE TRASH LAB. The student Larisa Chen told us about Taiwanese MINIWIZ company and their mission. Miniwiz was founded about 14 year ago by architect and structural engineers Arthur Huang. He based his company purpose on a mission to address the great disparity between sustainability, recycling and eco-consciousness. In 2007, Miniwiz developed its breakthrough project, the HYmini - a groundbreaking portable wind, solar and hand-crank power generator made from recycled electronic waste plastic and post-consumer recycled paper. This device is a zero carbon footprint charging product. Today, Miniwiz focusses on turning post-consumer waste into high-performance materials enabling the movement into a truly circular economy, thus frequently receiving extensive media attention and many awards for innovation in the recycling and building-material sector. Miniwiz scientists and engineers have invented over 1000 new and entirely sustainable materials and applications, discoveries which inform and enable our extensive suite of products and services.
