School Campaign

by Kushal Naharki | 12-02-2019 12:12

School Campaigns are effective in reaching large number of audience and awaring, There are government and private schools but most of the campaigns are focused on private schools and government school students are still away from such awareness campaign.

I as Regional Ambassador of Nepal conducted an school campaign at Jana Bikas Secondary School Besisahar on 11th February 2019. I was supported by the mebers of Youth Thinkers' Society Lamjung .This workshop clarified that students studying at government School are not weak in the matter of learning new informative things and presenting themselves in the mass. They showed very good energy and polished themselves in public speaking, debating and the working pattern of the United Nations.

This school campaign is focused on awaring children about model united nation and making a discussion on global environmental issue so that the student can be environmentally awared too. During the school campaign in this school, the discussion was made on the issue of plastic pollution. Students were made to bring out the solution of plastic pollution representation the different nations of the country. This program was conducted in both Nepali and English language so that students can feel easiere to bring out the solutions. I was glad to see so much involvement of the student. As it is a new format for students of government skill, they were very much interested in knowing and speaking about how we can beat plastic pollution together. They presented the ideas of public awareness, reduce, recycle, reuse giving the examples of how the plastic pollution is hampering our environment. I also shared about The Waste Pocket Campaign which focuses on "Keep It In Till You Find The Bin". The two students with best performance and bringing innovative solutions to plastic pollution who showed great enthusiasm during the program were awarded with Tunza Goods.

I feel that school awareness campaign shouldn't be limited to private and boarding school students only but also should reach to the students of government school too. I feel glad to successfully conduct the campaign in the government school Jana Bikash Secondary School of Besisahar, Lamjung.

Together we can bring a change.
Youth and children together we can create a sustainable environment
Green Cheers :) :)
