Every year huge area of forest is destroyed by forest fire. The source of these fire varies, most commonly being fire left by smoking people. There is recent trend of children and youth to go inside forest for picnic, there they light fire and leave them unattended thus is causes a large portion of woods around to convert to ash. Forest fire kills the trees around them. The tree may be valuable for medicinal purpose or may be home for rare species. The forest fire does not discriminate between the valuable and less valuable trees. In this regard, we need to increase awareness efforts to control these fires before happening. Teaching the local people about the intensity of problem and benefits they will get if the problem does not occur, will give positive result. In addition, rapid action team on possible scenario should also be prepared on such mishaps.
