As we all know, fossil fuels are the main causes of climate change. To prevent climate change, I want to run a campaign for this year. I will aware people to fight against climate change and motivate them to use alternative sources of energy like Wave Energy, Biofuels, Geothermal Power, Wind Energy and Biomass Energy etc.

I will teach people about the harmful effects of fossil fuels like Land degradation, Water pollution, air pollution etc.

Fossil fuels release various harmful gases like nitrogen dioxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide etc. when burnt that have severe consequences on the environment. Fossil fuels are also the main causes of air pollution.

Also, I would like to add some of the benefits of alternative sources of energy

Thermal Energy:

One of the main advantages of thermal energy is that the installation and generation costs are very low. Also, no fuel is needed to generate the power.

Biofuels:

Biofuels are extracted from plants and crops. They have lower carbon emissions as compared to fossil fuels. Biofuels are sustainable energy sources. They are produced from soybeans, wheat, corn and sugarcane etc. Thus, they can also increase the economy of a country.

Wave energy:

The key advantage of wave energy is it uses only the energy of sea and ocean waves and does not produce greenhouse gases or other pollutants like the fossil fuels do. Wave energy is also environmentally friendly and is renewable source of energy.

I would like to run “Don’t be cruel, conserve your fuel” campaign too. Oil is called liquid gold, one day it will cost you gold. if we don’t conserve it today.

Some ideas to save fuel are: Drive only when needed, Make sure the gas cap is on tight, Avoid idling, Coast when possible, Use cruise control on the highway etc.
