We are the last generation that can do something for climate change

We are the last generation that can do something for
climate change

Since the beginning of The Human History. Humans have

developed new tools, techniques, and machinery to do the work in a more
effective way, this development has increased over the centuries. Now we are in
a very high point of development, the man has walked in the moon, many cures
for diseases have been discovered and the world is practically connected. We
live in an era of increasingly rapid change, brought about principally by the
development of new technologies. However, all these developments had a high
price.

The price is worth our survival as a human race. We

have over exploited our natural resources, jeopardizing the future. All of

these in order to make more money.

The human population growth graphs look similar to a

bacterial growth curve. The only difference is that every bacterial growth

curve has a maximum point and consequently a Decline or Death phase.
Unfortunately, our current living style is bringing us to this point of no
return.

According to some scientists, we only have eleven

years to decrease our Carbon footprint in order to not exceed the limit of 1.5

centigrade by 2030. If we exceed the limits of the conditions would be
catastrophic, coral reefs could die, the wildlife extinction rates would
increase, and some Nations would disappear by the increase in ocean levels.

We are running out of time and as Kristalina Georgieva

said "We are clearly the last generation that change the course of climate

change, but we are also the first generation with its consequences" Our
generation has a big responsibility, we only have 11 years to act on climate
change before the world as we know it is lost. We must take actions now.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to share this

information at my University, The National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Every single person I talked to, were amazed by the fact that we are the last
generation that can do something for climate change. Most people were not aware
of climate change or the short time we have left. Fortunately, most of them are
willing to take actions. The Directors of my faculty invited me to organize
Forum and an awareness Campaign in my College. We will start the arrange and
logistic this January.

I created some memes in order to attract the Youth

Public and were very effective. They can be used freely. I hope It can also be

useful for you.
