What is Soil ?

What is Soil?


Latin word Solum means ¡®floor¡¯ or ¡®Ground¡¯

S= Surface of earth    

0= Organic matter

It is naturally developed into horizons from minerals and organic constituents of variable depth which differ from the parents material below in morphology, physical properties and constitution, chemical properties and composition and biological characteristics
