Environment Conservation and Pollution Awareness Campaign

After successfully completion of Plastic pollution awareness and Junk art competition in Valmiki Shiksha Sadan, I myself think I have to do more such programs and aware much more youths and students. So I come up with idea of ECPAC “Together We Can”. I explained more about ECPAC in my previous report.

With the help of Er Sunil Subedi who is my friend since childhood, I conducted Plastic Pollution awareness and Food waste awareness program in Hillbird English Boarding School in Bharatpur Chitwan Nepal, which is oldest private school of Chitwan.  Students of class 9 and 10 were included in the program which was about 60 in numbers. I am great thankful to vice principle of this school who managed everything in the school for us to conduct program smoothly.

We prepared PowerPoint slide about plastic pollution and food waste, I presented on Plastic Pollution and I taught students about various aspects of plastic pollution such as,

      Introduction to plastic

      How is plastic pollution gradually destroying our earth?

      Why we should not use more plastic?

      Who are mostly affected due to plastic pollution?

      Statistics and news about plastic pollution

      Roles and Responsibility of normal citizen and student too control plastic pollution.

During presentation I asked questions to students and award them with promotional goods from Tunza Eco Generation. At last 3 students were given opportunities to speak about what they learn during the presentation and they were also awarded.

After my presentation my fellow mate, Er Sunil presented about food waste and various aspects related to food waste. He explained following topics

      What is food waste?

      How food waste is happening?

      Who is responsible for food waste?

      Malnutrition and obesity

      Various news and statistics

      Hunger problems in world

      What can we do to stop food waste?

      Conclusion

Like this way we completed awareness about plastic pollution and food waste awareness in Hillbird boarding. We also introduce about Tunza Eco Generation to them and way of using website.
