![]() I recently watched the film «The Cove» that can be called an environmental thriller. This is a 2009 documentary film directed by Louie Psihoyos which analyzes and questions dolphin hunting practices in Japan. This movie shocked me. This film has been shot for three years since 2005 in the village of Taiji in Japan. The film tells about the hunt for dolphins in a naturalistic manner. The film also used footage of the butchering of dolphin carcasses, and the process of hunting is depicted as a bloodbath. This film was awarded the Academy Award Academy for Best documentary Feature in 2010. The filmmakers do not believe that their work is directed against Japan. Their goal is to stop hunting dolphins for their meat. I think people can't kill and eat dolphins. I think that dolphin hunting as practiced in Japan is unnecessary and cruel. Dolphins are our friends. They are very smart animals. Japan is a rich country, and there are a lot of different foods. I think the Japanese might eat something else. Dolphin and whale killing must me stop all over the world. I advise everyone to watch this film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSNNeu3ffzk Thank you for your attention. |
