Eco Club Formation

Eco clubs in schools will empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior.  The meaning of an Eco club in a group who works to contribute to improving environmental conditions. They offer programs and activities to encourage others to reduce pollution, plant trees, and more.

As a Tunza EcoGeneration Regional Ambassador of Nepal, I have formed Eco Club at Barahi Awasiya Madhaymik Bidhyalaya in association with Youth Innovation Network and with the help of the school. Barahi Eco Club will be led by Deepika Khadka and mentored by K.B. Thapa, Teacher of the school and Tunza Eco Network. The members of the club are:

Eco Club will begin its work by 
  • Publishing article related to environment on the school notice board
  • Keeping the school environment clean and green
  • Sustainable utilization of the school resources
  • Maintain the wastage of the water at school
  • Initiate cleanliness campaign in their locality
