I visited Sharjah International Book Fair regularly for past many years and have purchased many books. One of the books I remember was Sustainability – The Fourth Wave of Economy. This was written by Dr. Rashid Al Leem. When I got the book I never knew the author before, but the book was impressive. It talks about sustainability as the way forward. After Agriculture, Industrial & Information age, the current age is sustainability. This is our future. I learned a lot for the book.

The author is the chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA). The ruler of Sharjah chose him at a young age to the project of building and economic zone in the emirate. The Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, honoured him the title Ambassador of Knowledge of the UAE.

He has received several international honours and awards in different fields. He also received an award of Middle East Business Leaders Award 2012 by the President of Indonesia.

Honored to be recognized as Top 3rd rank amongst the 25 most influential people in the GCC Utilities industries. This is through doing what H.E Dr. Rashid Alleem loves to do; communicating ideas, sharing knowledge and skills, and showing optimism for future sustainability.

Dear Ambassadors, you are aware that I carry out many environmental events and activities and one of the very important events I conducted with Beeah support was The Peak Hour. It was a call of the local electricity company named Sharjah Electricity & Water Company [SEWA]. This event was a huge success due to active participation of the members & support of Beeah.

This success story reached the office of SEWA. I was fortunate enough to be invited by the office of the Chairman of SEWA Dr. Rashid Al Leem. This was my piece of luck as his book was my favourite environmental book. I had the chance & privilege of meeting my favourite author. 

I carried the book with me for the meeting. Dr. Rashid Al Leem was very kind to appreciate my humble efforts for the sustainability in the United Arab Emirates. In turn I showed him his book & informed him that he is my ideal for sustainability. As a gesture of appreciation, he autographed the book and wished me by stating Dear Rohan, See you at the Top always. These words are still inscribed deep in my heart and I will try to follow the path of sustainability.
