What can i do with my dream? (PAKISTAN)

I am a high-school student studying Psychology, Biology, Business Studies and Global Perspectives and Research at A Levels. My hobbies have profoundly nurtured my goals. My interest in literature, writing, debating, philosophy, travelling, community service, educational welfare development, activism and policy making (with regards to education, culture and the environment), has widely carved my perspectives and has allowed me to create risk taking goals.
Our world?s future is distinguished by the power of youth and their role in changing their community.
Living in a developing country like Pakistan I witness the presence of several social issues present in our society ranging from educational inequality and underachievement, climate change, political instability with lack of; gender equality, educational, cultural and environmental awareness, quality education and social and economic empowerment in the youth.
Aiming to impact my community, my aspiration to become a change maker ignited me to create DREAMERS in 2015, an organisation to empower the youth of my community and to spread educational and global awareness. The purpose of this organisation is to highlight and introduce the concepts of leadership and goal setting, citizenship, global, educational and environmental awareness, social and youth empowerment in the Pakistani youth. The target group consist of the youth from the slum schools and from very poor socio-economic backgrounds in order to nourish possibility and a sense of ownership and self development allowing them to be active global citizens and create a positive impact in their community, country and the world at large.
This project encourages a contributory mindset, generating innovative solutions for a sustainable world nurturing change-makers thriving to achieve their aims for the betterment of the global society and i plan on expanding it and making a leadership academy.
I believe the idea of the provision of quality education, leadership and self-development skills to the youth is often sidelined. Schools should aims to inculcate those concepts which nourish students showcasing all the existing opportunities and creating more for the sustainability of their future.
In order to focus on any form of global change it has to be viewed based on its impact and application in the community. Policy change and influencing is the key objective for the provision of quality education as it departmentalizes the target areas to work on, originating on an individual, communal and global level.
Leading my dream about bringing social, political, and environmental awareness I plan on pursuing a career centering social work, activism and journalism, combining my love for writing, literature and global awareness.
Furthermore, being selected as the 20th Eco-Generation Regional Ambassador 2018 (the only Pakistani representing this year), has widened my perspectives. The aims of this platform, including spreading Environmental-awareness and discussion of Global issues like climate change, energy conservation, air, water and land pollution, engaging with the youth worldwide, writing monthly reports on global environmental issues and campaigning for environmental preservation has significantly influenced my knowledge about different countries and my surroundings, motivating me to work on the differences and play a positive role in my community.
