![]() At this time, Indonesia is hosting the biggest sports competition in Asia called The 18th Asian Games. The opening ceremony of this event was held on August 18, 2018 and will be closed on September 2, 2018. This sport event held in 2 major cities, namely Jakarta and Palembang. In Jakarta, one of the biggest sports arena is in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK). Various sporting events are held at GBK, such as badminton, athletics, aquatics, hockey, basketball, etc.
There will be a lot of activities going on during Asian Games and for sure there will also be a lot of garbages that will be scattered, therefore Indorelawan organization in collaboration with Aqua held #KontingenKebaikan activities during Asian Games. This contingent is a supporter of the goodness of Indonesian people through mutual cooperation by doing clean-up activities. I'm very interested to participate and enliven that event, so I decided to enroll myself as a volunteer for the Clean-up activity at GBK. What we have to do is quite simple : Clean up the sports arena and all the area around GBK from plastic waste, especially plastic bottles. This activity intended to educate the audience and visitors of Asian Games to keep maintaining the cleanliness of environment.
Volunteers involved in this activity are quite a lot. This certainly shows that there are still many young Indonesian who care about the environment. Through this activity, I'm not only get the chances to take real action of my concern for the environment, but also get the opportunity to get new experiences and friends. #KontingenKebaikan activities will continue until September 2, 2018. I do hope that in the future there will be more positive activities like this so that more people will pay attention to take care of the environment. Green Cheers!💚 P.S On my last report, I probably said that report is going to be my last report for this term, but today I decided to write one more report as my appreciation and farewell to all The 20th fellow Ambassadors. See you guys in another term! :) |
