![]() ![]() Tourism has been an integral part of economic growth and development of the nation. Nepal is a destination country for tourism all over the world because of its unique geographical features, climatic condition, biodiversity, culture richness and historical important places. Many places of the country rich in culture, natural beauty and historical importance are still unexplored and deprived from the internal tourism. In addition, after the earthquake of 7.8 magnitude in 2015, hundreds and thousands of settlement in many districts of Nepal were affected. With 14 houses, a Community Center, 3 Historical Renovations and 100 residents now living in a rebuilt community, Rainaskot is one of the municipalities of Lamjung that was heavily destructed due to the earthquake. After the rehabilitation and rebuilding, the municipality has now started the homestay service for the national and international tourists. Lamjung MUN 2018 aims to promote the tourism in Rainaskot by organizing the one day hike and one nightstay for the delegates in the homestay. This would allow the youth to directly learn about the ongoing rehabilitation and rebuilding activities taking place and how they can contribute from their part. In doing this, LMUN 2018 has achieved its target of empowering the youth as well as promotion of tourism and contribute in the rehabilitation process of earthquake struck communities of Nepal. With the Motivate to Promote elite platform of Tunza EcoGeneration among the youths and children visiting the place, I visited the place with Tunza TShirt.
