Waste Management in India under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Swachh Bharat mission has been launched which will transform the way India lives. In line with the larger vision, Ministry of Environment, Forest and climate change has introduced new waste management rules to make our cities cleaner and pollution free. For the first time the Government of India has introduced separate rules for construction and waste demolition waste management. After 16 years the ministry has revamped the Solid waste Management rules to make it more stringent. The ministry has also amended Bio-medical waste, Hazardous waste and plastic waste management rules to realize the mission of ? Swachh Bharat? |
