Sauraha, Chitwan

Animal Rights Club, Community Based Anti-Poaching Unit and Sustainable Waste Management Co-operative jointly organized Environment and Wildlife Conservation QUIZ at Sauraha, Chitwan. The entire programme took place at The New Tharu Culture House, Sauraha. Total 16 teams participated from different schools and colleges.

The programme started at 12:00 Noon. President of Animal Rights Club, Surajan Shrestha gave the opening speech.

The contest started by reading out the rules and regulations to all the participants. Total 70 questions were asked to the students. Each round consisted 10 questions.

After the fifth round there was a 10 minute break. A food packet was given to each and every person who was present in the hall.

Skyrider Higher Secondary School won the first prize, Narayani Model School won the second prize, Prerana higher Secondary School won the third prize and Panchakanya Secondary School won the consolation prize.

The winners were given prizes and certificates. All the other participants were given certificates.

We were really happy to have them throughout the entire programme. To bring the programme to a close Doma Paudel gave a small speech and thanked all the participants, teachers and guardians for joining us in this quiz contest and making it a great success.

I feel proud to represent TUNZA and volunteering with the team during the entire event. I met many new friends and professionals, reached out to the community, and learned many new skills.
