The MUDDY rain, changing climate and environmental justice in Nepal

by Lalit bc | 24-06-2018 22:40

Hello everyone, greeting from Nepal and I apolozige for the Late Report.

Environmental justice is the new concept emerging widely in the world now days. It helps in addressing environmental issues from the prospective of affected and less privileged communities or  individuals of a society.

We all know that the climate change is rapidly increasing per year and it is affecting worstly to the livelyhood on the earth.
Today I'm writting about such a problem that is never seen in our country.

Few days ago, when I woke up and know it is raining outside I was preety excited and when I came outside I was socked.
There was mud everywhere, and when I obserbed clearly it was comming with rain. Literally it was not water but it was actually Mud rain.
When I checked the social medias it was all over the country.
Then after I got to know that it was actually due to the dust comming from the Rajistan of india get mixed with cloud and came down.
It was the first time in the history of Nepal.

As we all know that Nepal  is the country of highest peak in  the world including other 8 famous peaks in the world.
And in recent years the mountains are melting due to the increasing temperature of earth. And we know why exactly the global warming is increasing. Though Nepal contribute least about 0.027% in GHGs gas production but it is one of the most vulnerable country in  the world.
And not only mountain melting is a problem for us but there are so many others & its not only the Nepal but there are so many countries like Nepal suffering from the same problems but they are so busy for their basic developmental issues that they dont have enought time for focus in such issues.

And I dont think we are getting the proper environmental justice. We are paying for someone else mistake.

So there must be the equal justice for everyone in this world because this world belongs to no one and everyone.
